To gain a holistic experience, AIESEC provides students and recent graduates the opportunity to be part of issue-based and professional internships in more than 107 countries for a duration ranging from 6 weeks to 1.5 years before or after taking up a leadership role in AIESEC. Issue-Based Internships
- Duration: 6 – 12 weeks
- Administration fee: RM400
- No salary provided
- Accommodation and food are usually provided (depending on country and issue)
- Flight ticket and living expenses are not covered

HIV/AIDS – Be an HIV champion! End the stigma of HIV/AIDS by organizing and conducting learning events and awareness campaigns in countries that are battling the spread of HIV/AIDS such as Indonesia, China and Philippines.

Education – Play your part in education for the betterment of tomorrow! Design and execute learning syllabuses for educational institutions and universities or teach your favourite languages like English, Chinese, Spanish and many others in countries such as China, Taiwan and Korea.

Go Exchange! *Graduate Special*
- Requirement: minimum CGPA of 3.30 and/ or relevant working experience and skills
- Duration: 6 months – 1.5 years
- Administration fee: RM600
- Flight ticket is not covered
- Salary, enough to cover accommodation and living expenses, will be provided
- Support in finding an accommodation will be provided

Business & Management – Set yourself ahead of the rat race! Work for a multinational company in one of over 107 countries for duration of 6 months to 1.5 years in the field of accounting, economics, finance, human resource or marketing and build your global professional network!

Information Technology – Challenge yourself and solve highly challenging IT projects! Be part of web development, software programming or system designing projects in one of over 107 countries for duration of 6 months to 1.5 years and be a globally connected IT professional!
The Process
1) Application – Click here to download.
2) Assessment – An interview session to ensure that candidate has the competencies and right mindset to go for an exchange.
3) Preparation for Exchange – This includes:
- Induction – to assist candidates in understanding about AIESEC, setting goals for their AIESEC experience, connecting to the AIESEC network as well as widening candidates world view.
- Matching – the process of looking for a suitable internship according to the candidate’s background and preferences.
- Outgoing preparation seminar – to prepare candidates for their exchange by setting proper expectations and helping the candidate to learn how to reduce their culture shock in an unfamiliar culture or situation.
- Involvement in AIESEC activities – to enhance candidate’s competencies to go on an exchange and to get a better understanding about AIESEC and AIESEC in Malaysia as candidates will be ambassadors of AIESEC in Malaysia while on an exchange.
- Visa preparation – AIESEC will be guiding the candidate on the relevant steps to apply for visa (if needed).
4) Go Exchange!
5) Re-integration – Assist exchange participant to capture the learning and outcome of the exchange experience. Reverse culture shock and re-integrate the exchange participant to Malaysia. Exchange participant may choose to have further involvement in AIESEC.
